This is 2mm galvanised wire rope in 7×7 construction, supplied as a full 1,000 m reel. Seven strands of seven wires make 7×7 a stiffer rope that holds a straight line and stands up well to abrasion.

About this rope
The steel is zinc coated to protect it outdoors, and the rope is made to ASTM A1023 with a tensile grade of 2,070 N/mm².
Its minimum breaking load is 417 kg (4.1 kN). For a working load, divide that by a design factor suited to the job, commonly 5, and allow for fittings, bends and wear.
